Note: This information pertains to the Vision Web App only. Links for this web app begin with "web.truepicvision.com". If your link begins with "visionbytruepic.com" or you have been asked to use the Truepic Vision app, this information will not be applicable.


If you click on a photo/video question in the Vision Web App and receive the error "Location permission denied", this is likely because certain permissions are not set for the browser on your phone. Please note that the only browsers supported when using the Vision Web App are Safari and Chrome. Please choose which browser you are using below in order to receive instructions related to how to fix this issue.

Safari  - iOS (iPhone/iPad)

1. The error should display like in the screenshot below.

2. Go to the Settings app on your iPhone, and click on Privacy and Security.



3. At the top of the page, find Location Services (which should say "On"), and click on it.



4. Scroll down to Safari Websites (listings are in alphabetical order) and click on it.



5. Change the setting to either "Ask Next Time or When I Share" or "While Using the App", and ensure Precise Location is togged on (green).




6. Switch back to the Safari app on your phone, and reload the webpage. You should now be prompted for Safari to use your location. Allow this.



7. The location error should now be successfully resolved, and you can move forward with using the Vision Web App. If you are still running into issues, please contact us at support@truepic.com, or by phone at 619-512-9759.





Chrome - iOS (iPhone/iPad)

1. The error should display like in the screenshot below.



2. Go to the Settings app on your iPhone, and click on Privacy and Security.

2. Go to the Settings app on your Android device, and click on Apps.


3. Find Chrome; it may be listed in "Recently opened apps" or in alphabetical order. Click on it.



4. Click on Permissions.


5. Scroll down to Location and click on it.


6. Select "Allow only while using the app", and ensure "Use precise location" is togged on (green).

    


7. Go back to the Chrome app on your Android, and refresh the page.
